Twice a year Engage Brighton & Hove works in partnership with The Argus to deliver the Career Moves Event and The Argus Job Fairs.

The most recent Career Moves, took place on the 18th September 2008 from 11am until 4pm at the Brighton Housing Trust (BHT) First Base Day Centre, Montpelier Place, Brighton, it was as usual a free event combining workshops and advice sessions for the long term unemployed to empower them with the skills and resources to find work.

The workshops and advice sessions are covering topics such as:

• What jobs are actually available in Brighton & Hove
• What skills and attributes people have
• How to write a CV and complete application forms
• How to dress to impress employers
• Advice on how to disclose health conditions and criminal convictions
• Advice on becoming self employed
• Advice on child care services in Brighton & Hove

At the Event we showcase the vacancies which the employers attending The Argus Job Fair are hoping to fill.

The second Argus Job Fair of 2008 took place on 25th September, at the Corn Exchange, from 12pm until 7pm.
