·The Engage Partnership – a highly innovative forum of over 20 employment support agencies. The members work together to increase the number of unemployed disadvantaged residents accessing sustainable employment through tailored training, mentoring, placement and employment initiatives. To compliment the outputs of each agency, the Engage Partnership has been directly responsible for generating over 1,000 vacancies.
·The Tourism Alliance (TA) – a membership network for any business operating within the tourism industry. The TA hosts regular networking meetings, updating members on the latest offers in employment, business support services and training locally. The TA facilitates peer to peer mentoring and training between its members, supporting businesses to become more profitable and able to offer the ir customers a more rewarding experience.
·The Brighton & Hove LEADER Group – Local Employers Acting on Diversity, Equality and Race. This is a new employer-led group set up to promote diversity in the City by developing best practice guidelines around staff recruitment and retention, training and development. The group hosts free events and workshops on all aspects of diversity for all businesses in the City. Any locally based business can sign up to LEADER Charter free of charge, which is a formal commitment to develop a more diverse workforce and employ from under-represented groups. This is a rapidly growing group of over twenty members and it is envisaged that the LEADER brand will be recognised as a diversity charter mark of distinction for all local employers.
- Interreg Programme - VIP and E Learning - EES Ltd has been commissioned by Care Co-ops from December 2008 until August 2011 to engage employers from both the hospitality and motor vehicle sectors in harmonising the industry qualifications taught in the UK with those in France. These are the first steps towards European qualifications. And to further develop the Tourism Futures Charter and to create a similar Charter and Forum for the motor vehicle industry.
- Employer Engagement Training for both managers and practitioners - Engage is delivering this training on behalf of Yes Minister. The training is aimed at increasing job outcomes though both ensuring practitioners are selling themselves and their services professionally and manages are adequately resourcing this element of work.
